    Interesting Ibex Hunting Information:

    • The Nubian Ibex is a desert-dwelling goat species found in the mountainous areas of the Middle East.
    • This relatively small ibex is distinguished by its long striking horns that have a backward arch and are ridged.  These impressive horns of males are for defense and to impress females.
    • Incredibly agile and true cliff dwellers, Ibex spend their time in steep mountainous terrain, which would normally be dangerous for other wildlife.  The Ibex can move up and down these cliffs with ease, helping to avoid predators.
    • When threatened, an Ibex rises up on its hind legs and points its intimidating horns toward the predator.
    • Older males grow a long, dark beard and during the rut, much of their body will turn from dark brown to almost black.
    • Gestation: 5 months and will have one offspring.
    • Lifespan: 16-19 years
